Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I was excited to see Chile Verde made a return to Winter Haven. I took the the family there around 8 pm Thursday night. We ordered 3 fajitas (shrimp), 1 chicken chimichanga. 2 sweet tea, 1 Pepsi and 1 Mr.Pibb. We got our food in a short time. My wife and sons are their ordered fajitas and they said that they didn't get the lettuce and tomatoes. The peppers and onions were not cooked through. (Like they rushed). I ordered the chicken chimichangas. It came with the rice and beans. Which I did eat, first as always. When it was time to dig into my chicken chimichangas I realized that they were beef. Bummer. I figured no big deal I would just tell the wait staff when they came around. As my family was finishing their fast fixed fajitas I was looking for the wait staff. They finally show up with other customers orders. The tables next to me were being delivered and waited on. I soon discovered that we were not a priority. Finally someone must have noticed that we hadn't payed for the food yet. Maybe they heard the glasses rattling with wilting ice. The wait staff come to us and asked how our meal was. (About 20 minutes after I discovered the beef in my food.) As I was telling them that I did not know what kind of meat was in my Chimichangas, I was convinced that it was not chicken. As I was pleading my case with no liquids in our glasses. I was asked if needed my chimichangas cooked and I said no. Everyone had finished their meals. He said that he would put them in a box to take home. He also insisted that I should have ordered chicken if I wanted chicken!! Lol. I was explaining that my son had nothing to drink and I would like to have a Mr.Pibb to go. I also reassured him that I did order the chicken. The young lady, who is terrible at reading body language asked me to not cry. Apparently a person trying to be discreet about their complaint with flared nostrils and a vein sticking out of their neck and another out of their forehead is about to cry?? Whatever !! Anyway, thanks for the "to go" Mr.Pibb. Poor service, Undercooked Veggies, Poor Service, Wrong Chimichangas, Poor Service, the ability to listen or communicate. The $43 bill and I still left a tip of $6 and change to make it an even $50. Minimum Wage is $8 after all. Buyers remorse X This Place "WAS" my favorite Mexican place ! Bummer!! Thanks, Eddie "Indiana" Pratt Sales

The service was terrible. The server made you feel like you were interrupting her day. The only time she came back to our table was when she brought our food. There was dead blow flies on the window sill next to us and other blow flies flying around us. I had the chile verde fajitas and they were not sizzling and looked like they had been sitting for awhile. I don't recommend this restaurant.
